Building more than buildings

ABOUT T-WEST
COMPANY PHILOSOPHY

At T-West, our mission is to develop and build commercial real estate with a total commitment to Cost-effectiveness,  Quality, and Excellence.

Founded in 1993, T-West Development Corp has built its reputation by it's experience in every facet of commerical real estate development. Wether it is a small asset management or large-scale, a mix commercial/residential development or a complex of commercial condo buildings, every square foot of space T-West has built has reinforced its reputation for excellence.

T-West meets the needs of its development partners and commercial tenants by detailed planning, management and supervision of each project. The company can achieve this by the integrated collaboration of its in-house crew —a closely knitted team with a unique blend of talents and experience— and a group of talented and accomplished sub-contractors. Enriching a community and making sure that each project is developed in a sustainable and responsible way is a must for T-West Development.

T-West Development acknowledges that each real estate sector and/or every tenant is different, which is why our approach to each project is customized for success. In order to achieve this, T-West Development focuses it's efforts not only on building spaces with the highest standards of quality and excellence, but also on building client relations. Our perspective on servicing our customers is fixed on a foundation built on trust and expertise.

Building more than buildings

Founder of T-West Development,  Dave begun what is now the T-West Brand when he formed the first T-West company together with former partner Fred Tissington in 1993.

Following in his father's footsteps, Dave pursued a carrier in development and construction since an early age.

In Dave's own words...

There are many thoughts and philosophies on what is the best and the right way to do things for any given project and they will change from project to project and become very site specific. Having said that, there are some things we feel very strongly about and they tend to be what we talk about and what we hold true and near to us for each project and indeed have become the foundation of our business philosophy.

Dave Tissington

Success is in the details...

  • We do not want to be "99 percenters". We want to be "100 percenters". What this means is we do not want to go part way on anything we do. The success in anything you do is in the details and it's in the follow through.

  • We want to be constantly raising the bar for ourselves and our projects.

  • Good design does not mean unaffordable.

  • Good design, good landscaping, lots of parking, lots of lighting are areas where you get the [greatest response] on any project. They are what bring people to a project. People are what make a project successful.

  • Keeping an open mind to all possibilities. There are diamonds in the rough in every direction you look. Some are harder to see than others but possibilities are everywhere. With a little vision a lot can be accomplished.

  • It is important to be fair minded with all people you do business with. This is the foundation for building long term relations. Long term relationships are the foundations for successful partnerships; [that is], successful partnerships with employees, associates, neighbor's, suppliers, subtrades, and the communities you are in. Successful partnerships are partners that have a strong enough relationship to endure tough times and tough decisions so that they can be around together to enjoy the good times. Successful partnerships are the measure of a successful business.

  • All areas in a city have a roll to play and all areas have to play their roll in order for a city to be successful. This city, with some vision has a very bright future.

  • This has been said many times by many people and it is something we believe in whole heartedly. We all must give back to the community. The beauty of giving to a great community such as Grande Prairie is it always comes back to you many times over.
